I can't quite believe, on a lot of levels, that Bug's eye surgery was a year ago yesterday. A whole year!
Pre-op, with marker on her forehead to make sure they didn't operate on the wrong two eyeballs.
Back at home afterward, shades drawn tight.
Day 1 post-op. Didn't want to open her eyes, but would agree to eat a donut.
It still makes my chest tighten to think about it all. Although the fact that she managed to somehow pee all over herself while using the restroom at Sprouts this evening made me briefly forget any larger problems I thought I might have had.
